Turning Your Tears into Pearls for Others – The Power of Testimonies

The power of testimonies - we share so others relate.

Sharing God stories is powerful. Walls are torn down. The power of “I can relate” takes place, as women identify with others’ triumphs and trials. Community forms and the gospel is shared.

But, most importantly, God is glorified.

That’s why at every AIl In conference we make testimonies a priority.

In Romania, we heard several powerful examples of God working in the lives of women before and during the conference.* One young woman shared,

“I grew up in a Christian home, but we did not learn about the love of God.

When I was sexually abused at school, shame-filled me and led me down a path of drugs and alcohol.

Two years ago, I discovered God’s love and I thought I was healed. I wanted to help other women heal from sexual abuse.

When my fiancé broke off our engagement, I did not want to help anyone anymore. But, at this conference, I took steps of healing.

I discovered God loves me for who I am, not what I do, or how I look.

I am willing to serve the Lord again.”

The All In conference teaches how forgiveness leads to freedom…and freedom leads to experiencing the fullness of God (John 10:10). One woman knew what it was like to be in bondage spiritually and physically. She shared,

“I was sentenced to jail for 10 years.

When I was released, it was very difficult for me.

In prison, I had time with God. But I did not know how to act on my faith.

I would ask God, ‘Are you still loving me?’

After attending this conference, I am a changed woman.

I know He loves me and I am now physically free and spiritually free.

Now, I know how to live with God to fulfill His purpose for my life.”

Many other stories of life change took place in Romania. The women’s ministry team there is ready and equipped to help the women fulfill their purpose to be a disciple who makes disciples.

When we transitioned to Hungary, we were curious if anyone would share their testimonies. We knew the cultures were different but also knew God was at work. We were so blessed when one of the musical worship leaders in Hungary shared her God story,

My parents divorced and a serious relationship I had ended.

Someone told me God will use my tears and turn them into pearls for others.

I’ve learned how prayer and the Word of God has kept me alive.”

Yes, God used her tears and turned them into pearls for others, as she shared on the last night of the All In conference.

It was beautiful. And, it was new.

We learned that this conference was the first of its kind in Hungary. Ministries came together and women from different denominations and churches responded.

The team of leaders in Hungary want to continue growing the sisterhood that was formed during the conference. This way more lives are changed and they can bring change to Budapest…and the rest of their nation.

Consider how your tears can be turned into pearls for others.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Be brave. Share your God story with others. You never know how God will be glorified.

*Testimonies are translated into English in phrases. Often, we need to add words to complete the thought when writing out others’ testimonies. We work hard to convey an accurate reflection of a woman’s testimony shared at the AIM conference based on what information the translator provides us.
