HOW TO KNOW JESUS
The most important decision you will ever make
We are made in God's image, for His Pleasure.
But everybody falls short of God's ideal intentions.
We all turn away from God in our attitudes and actions. This is called sin.
Even though God wants an intimate relationship with each of us, our sin, like a chasm, comes between us and God. The wages or consequence for sin is physical, spiritual, and eternal death.
Yet, God loves you and wants you to experience life – abundant and eternal. He does not want you to remain separated from Him.
That’s why God sent his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to live on earth and to die in our place for our sins. Jesus rose from the grave and defeated death. In this way, Jesus bridged the gap between God and people.
How to know Jesus? We must trust Jesus and personally invite Him as the Leader of our lives. God offers His free gift of salvation to all who believe Jesus is the only way to be forgiven and reconciled to God.
Anyone who receives this gift is adopted as a son or daughter into God’s family and will live with Him forever in heaven.
Pray to invite Jesus Christ to be your Savior (Forgiver) & Lord (life Leader)
Ask for forgiveness for your sins.
Romans 3:23—“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Believe the death and resurrection of Jesus is the only solution for your sin.
Romans 5:8b—“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Trust Jesus for God’s forgiveness and the gift of eternal life.
Romans 10:13—“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Invite Jesus to be your life Leader.
2 Cor. 5:15—“he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.”
You can pray right now:
Dear God, I know I have sinned against you. I ask you to forgive my sins. I believe you sent your only Son to die in my place and for my sin. I believe that Jesus rose again from the dead. Today, I trust Jesus Christ to be my Savior and my Lord. I turn to Him for the forgiveness of my sins and to be the Leader of my life. Help me to trust and obey you. Thank you for your promises to love me, save me, and never leave me. I come to you in Jesus’ name and because of what He did for me. Amen.
